A coach can travel 146,000 passenger-kilometres for every tonne of CO2 emitted, whereas a car can only travel 26,000 passenger-kilometres, meaning that CO2 emissions from coaches are a staggering 6 times lower than car travel per passenger-kilometre. Coach travel emissions are also 1.5 times lower than rail travel and 5 times lower than air travel per passenger-kilometre.
A 15% increase in coach passenger journeys by British people each year could lead to approximately 47 million fewer cars on the road, saving over a quarter of a million tonnes of carbon dioxide and significantly reducing congestion on our roads. Just one full coach could remove 50 cars from Britain’s roads and remove a mile of congestion!

On the Coach

My trip to Scarborough and Witney.was fantastic .food at the grand hotel was buffet style.so you could help yourself.i went Monday to Friday from 20 November 2023
Just come back from Liverpool, our driver, Gareth, was lovely, he looked after us, was an excellent driver and nothing was a bother. The coach was very clean and comfortable. My first time with the company and would recommend. Have requested brochures for next trip.
I am very disappointed with my coach trip I paid £70 supplement for being single and I paid for a sea view when I arrived the room was small the bed was dirty the Seaview was a small square window and the view was a roof I asked to be changed was given a twin room with a seaview which was ok. The room was very dated the toilet flush didn’t flush there was enough Pugh milk to make one cup of tea and the sugar sachets had been there so long the sugar had gone hard. The dinner food was stone cold the salad lettuce was limp to say the least the food was atrocious so I decided to dine out. The breakfast I found eggs and toast which was edible. I have no idea why I paid an extra £70 the experience was awful. I will never go on another coach tour with just go holidays as they clearly do not checkout the hotels they allocate. Shame on you just go holidays I was appalled
Booked for Bath Christmas market for Sat 7th Dec, the trip is unbelievably going ahead although close to a red weather warning, I phoned to confirm if trip going ahead, the staff lied to me and told me the venue had confirmed the market was on but when I checked on their website it has been cancelled because of safety concerns.......Of course it has been cancelled!! I called back to be told that although the market wasn't running the shops should be open.......Why would anyone want to sit on a coach all day to go to another shopping centre....unbelievable. They are so tight, just cancel the trip and pay people back.....The trip is just for Bath Christmas Market and it isn't on, you cannot justify running the trip, it is stupid and dangerous and you deserve to lose many customers, I hope you do. Do not give them a penny or your money they don't deserve it. IMPORTANT: We take the safety of the public, stall holders and our staff seriously with this in mind and the Met Office forecast of winds exceeding 70mph from Storm Darragh we have taken the decision not to open Bath Christmas Market tomorrow, Saturday 7 December. This is to avoid any potential damage to people and property from the temporary market infrastructure. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes but safety as to be our first priority – we look forward to seeing everyone back when we reopen. Please check here and on our social media for updates.
Just returned from a 5day break to Weson super Mare, Bath & surrounding area, with my partner. The driver Martin was very professional, and a credit to your company. The hotel was a bit dated but could be overlooked by the quality of the home made food, it was fantastic & enough for the best of appetites. The staff & entertainment were also amazing. An excellent fun filled break.
We have recently come back from a short stay at warners nornton grange isle of white which was booked through just go holidays. After quite a long conversation with a very rude customer service chap called Simon at just go holidays who more or less told me that I shouldn’t complain about anything as we booked in January and what do you expect to get and if you don’t make sure that what you should have in your room is there and don’t tell the reception don’t complain about it. I’m very upset and feel that Simon thought that I was not worth talking to. On the whole don’t bother to pay extra for an upgraded room because others that didn’t pay will get the same room with the same two bottles of water two packs of crisps two packs of biscuits and two soft drinks without paying an extra £70 and if you don’t get what you think you should get please do not bother to ring customer service they are not interested in helping you
Returned on Friday evening from Scotland's Beautiful Banffshire. Good holiday, great value for money, but marred by some issues. 5-25am pick up from Chester, then huge detour to Preston because the feeder coach driver didn't know the route! 3 hours late leaving Preston, didn't arrive at hotel in Peterhead until 19-35. Straight in for our evening meal. Hotel very good, helpful and friendly, but too cramped at long tables for meals. Food always hot and tasty, rooms clean, comfy and warm. Bit of a hike to reach our lodge. Enjoyable excursions with our driver Martin, but unaware that onboard toilet only to be used when stationary. What's the point of having the toilet? Made some journeys very uncomfortable. Would think twice about booking again.
Harrogate trip was fantastic. Beautiful hotel food excellent.Carl our driver great... On to Knarsbough visit a lovely Old Mansion House loads of History.. finished with a Cream Tea... Great Value .
Really disappointing with this company Just Go Holidays as my mum cannot take her overnight trip due to being critical in hospital. The company are not being very helpful, no refund, zero flexibility, will not change dates or pick up location for someone else to take the trip in her place. No compassion whatsoever but good enough to take an elderly vulnerable persons money 😡 should be ashamed and I find this inhumane behaviour!
Skipton and Emmerdale tour,terrible experience from start to finish, spent more time on the coach than the actual places we were visiting, hotel Mercure in Bradford looked liked like a derelict building although the bedroom was clean, the food was cheap and bland and the vegetarian option was disgusting, it was like feeding time at the zoo.We were given no details about anything from the coach driver about times we were been picked up for Emmerdale. The Emmerdale tour was rushed with no time to eat or drink, the tour guide Rob was nice and informative but while people were taking photos he had moved on to another area so a lot of people missed what he was saying. My main gripe with this company was my husband was poorly a few days before we were due to go so I rang them and spoke to a very rude customer service lady to see if we could cancel or change to another holiday and was told no, we could not have a refund and was told to go on my own or find someone else to go with ( therefore leaving my husband on his own at home) disgusting. The only good part was the gentleman who drove us on the feeder coach, he was very kind and helpful. Never will I book with them again.
Just returning from a trip to see André Rieu in Maastricht....absolutely excellent from start to finish ( can't wait to go again ) our Drivers Michael & Martin did a fabulous job getting us there and then chauffeuring us around and providing great company during our evenings in the hotel , finally getting us all safely home - a huge thankyou to you both ☺️ The hotel was great , lovely breakfast ,clean rooms & friendly staff. Not forgetting that we were given vouchers for our ferry across . Providing us with a meal & a drink .... Excellent value !
Went on a coach tour of Isle of Wight. Coach was a nightmare with broken seats and broken air conditioning. The lack of air conditioning combined with the fact the coach had no opening windows meant that a great number of the people who booked the optional tour of the island didn’t actually take the trip. The information from the driver /tour representative was non existent. Definitely never doing a coach trip from this company again.
I did the holiday titled Little Trains of the Rhine. Due to a feeder coach driver not knowing where to pick up in Rotherham we were running 1 hour late. I was on that coach for 15hours. This meant a later ferry and a overnight in Lillie. We missed the first train journey and spent 5 and a half hours on the coach for a 2 hour stop in Boppard. What a disastrous holiday. I put in a complaint and their answer was 8 euro's compensation for the train journey we missed. No words
We book a holiday package to Torquay, with hotel, return by bus, and tour to 4 other cities included. Was amazing, the company on the bus, and the driver, Mr Lawrence very kind and helpfull. Recomend the company!
What a fantastic holiday we had to Edinburgh Tattoo and Loch Lomond in August 2022 with Just Go Holidays, (Two adults and our 20 year old daughter) It was well organised, we had a fantastically friendly driver (Tony) and the holiday was great value for money. Unfortunately the Scottish weather wasn’t on our side, but that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves. We loved it so much we have booked a European holiday for 2023. I can’t fault this company, it’s the first time we have booked with them and it won’t be the last.
Just come back from France and Belgium christmas markets with Just Go,though I wasn't very keen on the early morning pick up I risked it but if I had known about the 20mins walk just to get into Bruge I might have changed my mind but having said that I enjoyed the holiday,the hotel was lovely and the coach driver was brilliant, he drove for Maynard Travel. All in all it was a very enjoyable weekend.
I have just returned from Bournemouth. The hotel, heathlands hotel. Its only rated 2 star, its much better than that. Clean rooms, lovely staff. Dave, our driver, couldn't do enough. We went on trips every day. Highly recommended. Definitely going again. Thank you
Our coach driver in a trip to Bournemouth spoiled our holiday.The journey both ways were a nightmare.By saving costs we spent half our journey with others going to Torquay.We had an independent minibus to take us to our first change,after. A long wait( outside anyone's control) we were transferred to a coach bound for Torquay, both those drivers were efficient and polite.Whwn we got to Membury Services our problems began.Two coaches.were bound for Bournemouth, we unfortunately were on coach two.Coach ones driver again was polite and in control. Ours however was rude, had no idea what was happening and because someone who thought they should have been on our coach swore at him. He threatened to abandon us at Membury Services.They were on the other coach but he still took it out on us. He was miserable the whole holiday. Such a disappointment, it was our third Just Go holiday in less than a year and the only rude one. My Son summed him up, he was a good driver but would've better driving lorries. Obviously I wouldn't risk another holiday with them.
Just returned from Italy, brilliant tour guide David pleasant, helpful and friendly the same could not be said of the receptionist at our first hotel no food (apart from breakfast)or bar. We arrived 7pm ish asked him if there was anywhere nearby to eat and he told me to "use google". Found a small Trattoria a few hundred yards from the hotels secondary entrance. The lighting at this side of the hotel was not good neither was the road outside. This hotel was more used to weddings and functions that caterers were brought in for not for holidaymakers. Better planning needed!!
Currently on our way to stoke on Trent from Manchester . We’ve been on the coach for two hours already and are just leaving altrincham. We are staying at a hotel in stoke on Trent to go to a concert in Liverpool???? Living in Manchester. Currently going in the opposite direction. When I got the itinerary I rang ‘just go’ customer services and I asked why our hotel was in stoke when I live in Manchester and are going to a concert in Liverpool. I was told that a team of experts work out the logistics and this is the most appropriate itinerary. I questioned the logic and was told that my t’s and c’s state that we will stay at a hotel in the UK! So I have to be grateful that we’re not at a hotel in Torquay. The customer service rep was quite defensive. I was very polite and was taking it in a light hearted way. I suggested that Liverpool is 50 minutes on the motorway for me and had I known that I had to go to stoke I would not have booked. He would only concede that ‘maybe there should be more clarity! Still on the coach . On the way to Lymm services now after 2and half hours: everyone on this coach say they won’t be booking with ‘just go’ again. Driver is lovely:
Returned yesterday from the Grand tour of Ireland, firstly I would like to thank Tony an excellent and friendly driver, also David the tour guide, his knowledge of Ireland is second to none and his recall of history unbelievable. The tour is full on and absolutely flew by, we had a great coach full of people and many laughs along the way. The tours of different places, by David, were very interesting and thorough, Belfast, Derry walls, Galway, Limerick, Dublin. We investigated the Titanic museum, Giants Causeway, Donegal, Sligo by ourselves. The Ring of Kerry was lovely, Tony had a day off and joined us for the trip, Irish coffee at 10am set you up for the day! Hotels and food were very good, you could be picky about a few things but overall excellent. We flew to Belfast, only an hour, the coach took 14 hours from the Cambridge area with only nine on board so be prepared if going that way. We met many people from all over the UK which was refreshing as many airports are available to join the tour. Dublin airport was a nightmare yesterday apparently they had a power cut early morning and delays checking in meant it took us two hours queuing outside the building before the bag drop luckily we were picked up early from the hotel. I would recommend this trip if you haven’t seen Ireland before, beautiful scenery and extra friendly people. Well done Just go !
Great value holiday to Bournemouth in including trips to Weymouth and Isle of Wight via hovercraft Coach driver was brilliant, hotel was decent with good clean room, good meal plan and helpful staff, great location ( 5 min walk to beach) trips were good but could do with more time on the individual trips and more leg room on coach( minors though). Would use just go holidays again
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! My mum and 80 year old disabled nan booked a holiday with them and was told that they had a twin room booked with a walk in shower. When they arrrived at the hotel they went to there room to discover only one bed with a walk in shower, when they went down to discuss this with the hotel staff they were told they only have a twin room with a bath/shower available! They had no rooms with a walk in shower and twin beds. My mother then got in contact with Just Go! Holidays and spoke to someone named Arron who is the manager he was SO UNHELPFUL AND VERY RUDE. He told them that the room they thought they had booked was only requested with the hotel and that they could not guarantee that they would get it, bearing in mind this was NEVER discussed with my mother and nan as they would not have booked this holiday if they was aware of this! This has forced them to leave the hotel and book another one as the only option was for my mother to sleep on two chairs which is not acceptable! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!
I had a lovely 5 day break on the Isle of Wight on the new JG Explorer. We stayed at Holliers Hotel in Shanklin. She is 200 years old in 2024 and, while you can definitely tell her age, the welcoming owners are currently refurbishing the hotel to bring her back to her former glory. Our room was quite a nice place to be but there was mold in the bathroom which should have really been removed, also the toilet seat moved when you sat on it which was quite uncomfortable. The coach had great amenities including Wi-Fi, a kitchen, USB ports and access to a portal with entertainment. Our skilful driver, Ben, was chatty and friendly and made sure we were all having a good holiday. The excursions: Steam Railway and Osborne House were excellent, although I wish I had more time at the various towns and villages we went to. Overall, I would highly recommend going with Just Go. I had a great time and I thought it represented good value for money.
Just got back from a lovely 3 day break to Northumberland and Durham. First time traveling with Just Go. We had a modern, clean coach. The hotel was ok, the food was a little disappointing, small portions and cold. But the room was spacious and had a bath tub which I requested😊 Many thanks to our excellent driver Alistair for taking us all the way up to Newcastle from Bristol. He was kind and professional. Looking forward to our next trip in June, thank you
Just returned from a coach trip from Wales abroad the waverly steam boat and Liverpool with my aunt of 90. I can't recommend them enough the private taxi from nottingham to Derby our feeder was late and they took us to a another destination saving us waiting. Our driver was amazing very knowledgeable about the area we stop and could tell us about other landmarks as we drive. The coach was luxury Mercedes benz model. Only downside was no USB port to charge my phone. The hotel was OK basic but 3 course diner every evening and couldn't fault food. Recommend this for any age maybe not so if have walking problems my aunt struggled. But everyone was more the patient with her so thankyou for a wonderful trip we will deffently book again
Friends & I shared a Just Go holiday experience to Norton Grange, IOW. November 2024. We had a most exhilarating 5 days, enjoying comfortable accommodation, Entertainment & exceptionally high standard of food & service. The grounds are beautifully decorated in a Christmas Theme & we cannot fault the staff looking after us - all went above & beyond our expectations!
I booked a London Theatre break back in April for my husband's 60th birthday. When our final confirmation came, the tickets were for the stalls though I had specifically asked for dress circle and paid an £80 supplement. I rang and adked why I had not received the correct tickets and was told it was a request not a guarantee. I was not offered a refund. The driver was 30 minutes late picking us up. We were given no information about where the theatres were; the driver just moaned about hating driving in London and shouted abuse at other drivers. When we got to the theatre we ordered interval drinks from the stalls bar and went to our seats, only to find they were already occupied. I spoke to an usher and then a supervisor who checked and verified that the seats had been double booked. I have osteoarthritis in my knee and there was a lot of standing around. With 5 minutes to spare we were taken to the box office. The gentleman there was very helpful and managed to find that my seats had been changed to the dress circle as first requested but this had not been communicated to me by JustGo nor had the updated tickets been sent to me. It made what should have been a lovely evening very stressful and painful, as we then had to go up and down 3 flights of stairs at the interval to get our pre-paid drinks. The hotel was an hours drive out of London with no-one there to check us in. No timings about breakfast or departure time for driving back in to London. It was obviously the cheapest they could possibly find. we could even see a runway and planes from our room. Noisy, all through the night! Appalling! We were left feeling stressed and tired. On the journey home, we were subjected to moreeroad rage from our driver towards other drivers including "I'm a chuffing bus...where do you want me to go?!" Inapproriate! I spoke to the company on our return and have sent an email of complaint. Still waiting for a response. Customer care and comfort is definitely NOT their priority. I will not use nor recommend this company in future. Sandra H
We went to Isle of Wight for our holiday earlier this month using "Just Go" coach holidays The price of our 5 day holiday for 2 was a bargain so did not expect anything special. We stayed at Medehamstede Hotel at Shanklin, and were impressed with the general service of the hotel. The food was very good.They offered freshly cooked full English breakfast as well as cereals and juices of our choice with a freshly brewed pot of tea or coffee. The evening meals were freshly cooked and the portions more than adequate followed by their home made dessert selection.The evening entertainment was good and bar prices were reasonable. Our everyday sightseeing was good, the places we visited being carefully chosen for everyone to enjoy. I have to mention our driver "Justin" from Southend. He was a very good driver, very helpful and polite. The final day for our trips was a little disappointing as we had insufficient time to see the "Needles," which most people looked forward to seeing. The time spent stopping in less interesting places could have been better arranged to ensure a much longer visit at the Needles. I would suggest to allow more time to visit the more interesting places rather than sqeeze in too many places with little time to enjoy any of them. We give a 4 star rating for our overall enjoyment and will certainly book for another venue in the future.
Please do not book if you are going solo this company left my mother in law for a couple of hours on her own and then tried blaming the driver who had already shown her and another gentleman that they wasn't on the list. When I was calling to see what was happened was informed it would be there in 15min over a hour later the coach arrived. Their response to our complaint was very flippant they did not care at all please be aware!!!!
Returned from lovely 3 night break to Cornwall. Hotel chosen was reasonable , with reasonable quality room ,but pay extra and have sea view. Building work going on by side of some rooms. Had small inside and outside pool just ok for splash about, with changing area. Hotel well placed for Newquay about 6-7 mins away and just over the road down a steep drive access to main beach, good bracing walk into town. Excursion to Truro,had plenty of shops and Cathedral worth a look around. Spent approximately 4 hours here , just enough. Other excursion to Padstow well worth it. View from monument well worth trek! Padstow has plenty of small shops and working, quaint fishing harbour with a ferry over Camel,to Rock. Entertainment was provided nightly some good,some poor dependant on taste! Only gripes,were a stop for us being picked up from Bromsgrove after one hour, then stopping at Bristol for pickup then a further 4 ish hours to Newquay although toilet on board very awkward to get up down steps to it. Coach stopped at Exeter, on way back,could have done better doing this going down. Apart from that coach driver Phil was excellent. You need to be fairly active to get best from trip. Staff at Kilbirnie hotel first class.
Just on way home from the best holiday I've had in years to Isle of Wight, Coach Driver Phil, is a true gentleman, so friendly helpful, nothing is too much trouble, an Asset to the company 😀 The hotel was dated, but clean and comfortable, the food was excellent 😀 and plenty of it! The excursions daily were made even more enjoyable thanks to Phil, can't wait for my next just go holiday! 5*+++ Thankyou 😍
Sold a hotel holiday (with payment) for a 3-4 stars. Three days before the departure date, the hotel name was released and it was a 1-2 star hotel (being sold on their website as such). Shambles and customer service truly shocking. Never use!
Don't book unless you like being ripped off and not getting what you pay for. I've booked a coach trip to Bath Christmas markets in early December with some other ladies. At the time of booking we were told that the hotel allocation would be made nearer the time but we're given the impression it would be in Bath or close by. We've been allocated a hotel in Cheltenham - a 90 minute drive away from Bath, and this information only came through in the last few days. These shysters tell us we can't cancel and we can't change hotel. GO ELSEWHERE, THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR SHORT BREAK.
I’ve just come back from the Coronation Street Experience and what a great weekend me and my daughter had. Tony our driver was excellent also. The only bad experience was the Britannia Hotel Bolton. We changed rooms within 10 minutes of arriving. All I will say is if this is the standard of accommodation used on your trips I won’t be using your company again. This is the first time using Just Go.
Just rreturned from 5day trip to Scarborough had lovely time. Coach comfortable and clean. Our driver KEVIN was excellent throughout holiday, a credit to JustGo.
